Monday’s podcast talks recruiting, playing in the heat, pet safety and more
IOWA CITY, Iowa – In case you haven’t noticed or stepped outside today, the heat and humidity make it seem as if you’re drenched from head to toe in warm pancake syrup.
In other words, it’s miserable outside.
That’s why in this podcast we list some of the hottest and coldest Iowa football games that we could remember, including the scorcher against Kansas State in 2000 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
We also discuss Iowa football recruiting in preparation for what is expected to be a new commitment Monday afternoon. Texas running back recruit Eno Benjamin has been promoting the commitment on Twitter since last week.
There is speculation Texas four-star cornerback Chevin Calloway is the player who is set to pick Iowa. An announcement was expected last Friday, but Benjamin told allhawkeyes.com that it was pushed back in the wake of the ambush in Dallas in which five police officers were killed by a lone gunman.
We also do our usual drifting, but we introduce a new horn that will be used by Captain Steve to get us back on track.
So give it a listen,
