IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa men's basketball team opened up its season with a 95-73 exhibition victory over Regis University on Friday night.

Fran McCaffery and several Iowa players addressed the media after the game about defensive lapses in the second half and how Iowa's six freshman players looked in their first game action in front of Iowa fans.
