AH TV: Iowa players talk about facing the Cyclones in Ames
IOWA CITY, Iowa – An Iowa football player only gets two chances to face rival Iowa State in Ames.
That chance will come on Saturday when the two instate rivals square off at Cyclone Stadium in Ames. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. and the game will be televised by ESPN.
Iowa rolled to a 42-3 victory over the Cyclones last season at Kinnick Stadium, but the rivalry is tied at 10-10 over the past two decades.
Here are multiple interviews with Iowa players, including senior linebacker Ben Niemann, talking about preparing for the Cyclones. Niemann's father played football for Iowa State and his mother also attended Iowa State.
Iowa held its weekly press conference on Tuesday.
Both teams won their season opener last Saturday as Iowa defeated Wyoming 24-3 at Kinnick Stadium, while Iowa State defeated Northern Iowa 42-24 in Ames.
