AH TV: Kirk Ferentz meets with the media to discuss the Holiday Bow, officiating, recruiting and more
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Kirk Ferentz was in a talkative mood on Monday and there was plenty for him to talk about with the Iowa football team preparing to face USC in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 27 in San Diego.
Ferentz met with the media on Monday and addressed multiple topics, including facing the 8-4 Trojans, his concerns with the state of officiating and his thoughts on recruiting with the early signing day on Wednesday.
Ferentz will not attend Iowa's signing day press conference on Wednesday because he will be in San Diego for a Holiday Bowl press conference.
Ferentz also told the media that he wasn't aware of junior offensive tackle Alaric Jackson or junior defensive end Chauncey Golston having submitted their paperwork for the NFL Advisory Board Review. It was widely assume that Jackson, a three-year starter at left tackle, and Golston, a rising star, would at least explore their options concerning the 2020 NFL Draft.
Junior offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs, junior defensive end A.J. Epenesa and junior safety Geno Stone have all submitted their paperwork to the NFL Advistory Review Board.
Here are multiple videos from Ferentz's press conference on Monday:
